Love the 85 1.2 and 135 f2, they're just so long on a crop body. I shot some birthday part last night at a restaurant. They did a parade down the street at 9/9/9 9:09 (kinda silly but whatever).

Hated having to use my Tamron 17-50 2.8... it's not a bad lens but it lacks that prime lens critical sharpness that I get from the 85. . . plus two stops.

I know the sigma 30mm (or 35mm, I forget) is capable of sharp images... if you can find one that focuses properly.

This thread is just a boring rant about my L prime lust.

I've got a couple weddings and my yearly bonus next spring and I'm really hoping to pick up a 135L, 85L, and the 35L. I never thought I wanted to get into primes until I rented a couple, the IQ is just outstanding.

I want one of those as well, but with the amount of sports I shoot, it's not really the best option for me.

Even though I'm not crazy about crop sensors a 7D is a better option for me than a 5D mark II.

Or an old Mark II N. . . although I'd much prefer a Mark III at a used Mark III pricepoint whenever the Mark IV comes out.

I thought full 1080p video recording was all the hotness this fall.

I've owned both and enjoyed both. The sigma was awesome because it was 1/4 of the price and still produced some great images.

35L focused faster but for the things I shot it didn't justify the price difference.

1080 is soo 4 months ago. Overall, however, Full Frame was the definitely the buzz for this year. Last year it was the Canon 10-22.
