Making Cardio Fun... well almost

    What do you guys do to make cadio tolerable?

    I like to do HIIT (high intensity interval training) ie: on the stairmaster set it for 20 min at a reasonable speed, then do that for 2 min to warm up a little. Then bump up the speed every 2 min for 1 min. Or just use the interval button on there, that easy too. But it is a really good workout at the end of a leg routine and makes the time go by faster.

    At my school we have this really cool machine called "tread wall." Basically its a vertical treadmill thats a rock wall. You can adjust how fast the wall will go and also the angle at which the wall is at. If you put it at a 45 degree angle to the floor you have to carry a lot more of your weight and you can only stay up there for about 5 minutes until your forearms give out.

    i don't know about fun, but to help pass the time I usually listen to music, but more often then not, watch tv, or if I'm on a recumbent bike I read

    Put the treadmill to max height and Sprint for a minute. Break and do it again.

    I wish I could remotely make cardio fun, but it just bores the hell out of me. I think the most I've lasted on a bike was 2 mins.

    Probably why I'm a fat fuck :)

    yesterday after lifting I did 15 mins on a bike and 10 on the row machine... then I played basketball for 2 hours with my buddies

    put the ear buds in and make games...

    Say your jumproping, I like to do 200 regular jumps, 50 skiiers, 50 bells, 50 kick outs, then back to the regular except do 250, then 60 skiiers, 60 bells....

    you get the idea, its like a video game. try to beat your high score

    I've been bringing the iPhone with me and watching The Simpsons and South Park while on the bike at the gym. Can't wait for spring so I can just go outside and hit the trails instead.

    i would watch sienfeld on my ipod video on the treadmill and it helped. I struggle unless I am playing some sport.

    My fave cardio sports are basketball, raquetball and soccer.
