What are the pros and cons of each model? Since they both have roughly the same market value, I am interested in either. Any personal experiences with either? Right now, I am leaning towards the Makarov, but could be easily swayed

    I have each.

I occasionally carry my Mak, while I wouldn't the CZ.

Ammo for the CZ isn't cheap either.

Makarov is more useful, but the CZ-52 is more fun.
You can get cheap 7.62x25mm at www.cheaperthandirt.com.

Get both, but I would buy the Makarov first.

makarov all the way, i love all 3 of mine.

two russian commercials (1 high capacity model) and a bulgarian military. all in 9X18. ammo is cheap even for reliable defensive rounds. (~105 for 1000 rounds of hallow points, www.dansammo.com )..

inexpensive while vary accurate (fixed barrel and all). never had even one hickup ever!!! reliable as can be, i trust my life to it and its small.

  8. I live in Phoenix and take the trip to JG sales quite often. They have good prices and they're good people to deal with as well. I just picked up a Russian Makarov, Cz-52, Ak-47, and a CZ-40p from them. :bigthumb:
