So yeah, did squats today, same weight I've been doing for 3 months (225). Was on my second set when I leaned forward a little too much on a deep squat, and had to use a lot of lower back to get straight and make it up.

    Kept working out this morning.

About 3 hours later, back started hurting. By the evening I have barely been able to move. I can't tell if it's soreness or injury, because it's right at the small of my back, at the hips. Can barely stand up once I've sat down and it's tough to get comfortable.

    FUCK.

Hope it's just a strain or major soreness, but luckily I happened to have a doctor's appointment for my knee and shoulder on tues anyway. :wtc:

if its the same weight you've been moving for 3 months, you shouldnt' be getting "major" soreness. most likely a strain. ish happens, rest it

Feels better this morning - last night I thought I would have to go to the hospital, I couldn't move in bed. Ya, def a strain or something, now that the whole area isn't killing me I can tell it isn't soreness.

Because I'm eating less than 2k calories per day and working hard on weight loss. Difficult to improve my squat there.

I am working more on improving my form before I increase weight, but can definitely tell that this is going to make that increase a little further off.

Especially a repost after I already answered. Cardio 5-6 times per week on a less than 2k calorie a day diet makes increasing your squat pretty difficult.
