How do I figure out how many calories are considered "maintenance" for me?

    Weight in pounds x 10 + weight (lbs) x

    3 (if inactive)
    5 (if moderately active)
    10 (if extremely active)

For example, an inactive 180 pound woman should eat (180 x 10) + (180 x 3) or 2,340 calories a day to maintain her weight - neither gain nor lose weight.

    i've always heard:

(weight) x 12, 15, or 18 (lose weight, maintain, gain) for moderately active...

probably just another way of doing it..

i did it your way and it came out as 15 for me to maintain.. so, same thing :o
