Mail Organization?

    How do you have your 'mailbox view' or 'folder view' organized in Mail?

    I'm used to Outlook. I don't like how you can only add folders at the bottom of the folder view instead of inside the inbox. Just wondering how you guys have things organized.

    I have a bunch of folders and subfolders set up on my desktop, and I sync with gmail imap on my laptop so the folders are all gmail tags.

    Are you using IMAP email?

    On some servers, if you don't have the IMAP Path Prefix configured properly, it may appear that all your folders are subfolders of the inbox.

    You can fix it by going to preferences > Accounts > Select the Account you are having an issue with > Advanced > and then enter INBOX in all capitals into the "IMAP Path Prefix" box.

    You may have to quit and reopen mail to have the setting activate.
