  2. It's like you're paying for a name... and then paying for another name.

At this very moment Mark Larue is on the phone with them demanding that they include several of his add-ons.

  8. God, you're an idiot. Who the fuck cares that it's hundreds of extra dollars. It's fuckin' limited edition! You and everyone at the range will know just how special your rifle is, and how awesome you are that you are able to spend thousands of dollars to buy what can be built for much less. You're obviously too poor to understand the value in paying a premium for not one, but two, names.

I love how Noveske always harps on how their chrome lining is 2x what it is on other rifles. Now, I don't know about anyone else, but I've NEVER heard of anybody wearing through their chrome lining, so what's the point?

I've never read or heard about anyone in the military going through the chrome on a M4/M16 either. :dunno:

I have we had to send two of our rifles off to get fixed because they shot an MOA about the size of 8.5x11

Chrome lining does wear out, even more so for machine guns

I've heard good things about the Noveske tubes, but I'm a fan of stainless myself. Generally speaking (in the AR world), it seems as though the CL tubes suck as far as interior finishing and aggregate potential. Of course, that's likely not a concern to everyone I suppose. If Noveske's got that shit worked out (and there is evidence that they do), might be a hell of a tube for a GP AR.

FN supposedly had a badass chroming setup for their SPR's, and those guns would shoot. I hear it was proprietary though, and they could only do .308 bore diameters. A shame, cause I'd buy a 7WSM CL gun in a heartbeat and never look back.

So I've heard. I've heard several people rave about their bolt gun stuff. Waiting for a suitable .224 bore to show up on their specials page for a 223AI project I have.

I guess it's just something that doesn't make sense to me because I don't ever expect to shoot out my AR barrel. :o

Cool article. I didn't know that Noveske had done so much work redesigning his barrel making process. I just thought he bought blanks from Pac Nor and chambered himself. That's pretty wild, I imagine it would be a VERY short list of people who actually manufactured their own tubes for their rifles. Cooler still if he moved outta the dark ages and used cut-rifling tubes:mamoru2:

Some cool technology there, I'd love to see it.

Cut rifling? You must want them to be even more expensive than they already are....
