I had 'em before Brownells. Same with the BAD :big grin: I've already sold about 100 ACS stocks and about 200 BADs

Although, you still save $5 buying from Brownells even with my free shipping deal on that package but it's not bad when you consider I'm a little guy and Brownells is the 800lb gorilla in the firearms retail world.

God Damn son. That's moving some product right thurr. Congrats.

Who's the majority of your buyers? IE, you been able to pin down where you are getting the best turnaround for your advertising $$?

Thanks. It's been a helluva ride, that's for damn sure.

    As for advertising bang-for-the-buck, it's without a doubt, Calguns.net

I've had a few from the Hide; enough to warrant continuing to pay but I pay the same amount to both places and Calguns sends so much my way, it's not even funny. I literally work 8-10 hours a day packing orders now. Had 600K hits on the site just last month...

Interesting. I honestly wouldn't have guessed Calguns would have drove that much traffic. I guess that's a pretty big site; I'm just not from CA and thus don't frequent it much.

You tried Gunbroker/Auction Arms/etc? See a lot of people on there, but I've always wondered how well one would do there. Kinda unorganized I always thought, and cheapest pricing definitely rules the land in that kind of setting.

Any big moves coming down the pike?

I haven't tried the sites that facilitate sales because they take a decent cut; between merchant fees and site fees, I'd lose about 7% of the sale and in such a cutthroat environment, it just isn't worth it.

Nothing earth-shattering. I'm an authorized dealer now for: Geissele, Daniel Defense, VLTOR, TangoDown, Primary Weapon Systems, Addax Tactical, KNS Precision, Knight's Armament, Yankee Hills Machine, CMMG, and a few other places. Obviously, I don't have the funds to stock all that yet but I'll grow into it. I'm expecting baby PMAG sales to do very, very well on Calguns. The guy who was making them stopped and basically asked me to fill the void, sent me his process (very similar to what I do), and even went so far as to tell me what materials he was using and why. He sold 25 in two days without really pushing them for $25 each with a ranger plate. I'll bet I can move a hundred in the first week :big grin:

Damn. Did not know that kind of market was there.

You thought about getting into the optics game? I've always wondered what kind of $$ was there.

My buddy and his father do a lot of business in Asia manufacturing various things, and one of their liaisons does some work with an optic plant. I'd love to get privvy on how all that works and explore spec'ing out my own glass.

Optics are the last phase of the business before I branch into firearms. They're high cost per unit with medium returns at best. EOTech and Aimpoints have silly-thin margins due to extreme competition. ACOGs aren't nearly as bad but still alot of money to tie up. I fund this entire venture with cash so I can't buy tons of stuff. It's the one thing keeping me from stocking KAC parts as they require a $5K initial order. Same goes for CMMG (for non-FFLs). YHM requires a $1K order which isn't bad but honestly, I'll probably go after DD or Troy before YHM as that's what the market prefers.

I can provide the first two, no problem. The third would be a special order through a distributor so I have no idea how long that would take.

    Troy: $235 shipped
    DD rail: $305 shipped
    DD BCG: $158 shipped

I could knock a few more bucks off if you go with the DD rail and BCG.

No worries; I buy some stuff from RSR as well and my account rep asks me where and how I get all the new Magpul stuff before everyone else. ACS, BAD, EMAG so far. Just wait till my five cases of .308 PMAGs show up

As long as it isn't a state with a capacity ban.

THT, you should get HouseofGrafix to make you some sweet midwestpx decals. I'd rock one on the truck for sure.

That's a great idea. I'm working on two other free schwag ideas right now but it all comes back to how much will it cost. A friend of mine makes shirts so I was thinking an OD Gree or coyote tan with a simple logo over the left breast and Ne Cede Malis on the back would be cool. Or hats but they're a bit expensive. Stickers would be crazy cheap by comparison but I'd be concerned about how many people would just pitch 'em. Hats and shirts usually get worn, if even as shirts to ruin (I.e. Painting, car work, etc.)

Do what Larue does...give away a sticker with each order AND let people buy them from the site for like 5 bucks.
