    since the range I go to doesnt have anything to put targets on, i decided to make my own portable ones. i'm very pleased with these. if you dont have sticky targets you can easily use push pins to hold them up

    pvc = $4 per holder
    backboard = $4 per sheet

    gives a 30" x 30" spot to put targets on. the board fits perfect in the middle but it looks off b/c its got scotch tape holding it on the top. i'm going to use small zip ties when i get to the range

    what the hell kind of range doesnt have anything to put targets on?

    is it an actual range, or just a field somewhere?

    well its a run down range that is still owned by the city's police department. lafayette georgia isnt a big, nor rich, town. it used to be a great range but since everyone that lives in that town is a trashy redneck, they'll dump their trash anywhere. a lot of people were trashing the range so they stopped the up keep on it. now its just an open area on the side of a giant dirt hill that you can go and blow up just about anything you want

    the top, side and middle arms are 2 1/2' long each section. the feet at the bottom have 1' on the front and 1' on the back. it took a total of 38' of pvc

    might want to get something to hold it down. Looks like it could easily blow over in some light wind.

    you know thost little baseball nets, you throw the ball against and it bounces back to you?

    well those have like, U-shaped metal stakes, you just stick them over the pole, and push each side into the ground..

    that would work perfectly for that..

    just some U-shaped metal stakes :wiggle:

    There's usually some electronics that have been blown to shit laying around this place.

    A TV will hold it down fine :mamoru:

    Our range has metal target bases that are pretty heavy with wood framed target holders and they use that same white backing stuff and we'll get a gust of wind that'll knock those over. That's light pvc pipe will probably blow around a bit. Depends how much wind you get at your range though.

    Actually, it isnt. The backboard or paper targets will act as sails. You're going to need something to hold down on the legs. You could fill the legs with sand and glue the end.

    Well, if you don't get much wind, then you're probably good.

    The range I'm at 10+mph wind is not uncommon.

    :rofl: you havent even seen these in person to make your decision so dont assume you know how sturdy they are. it would take quite a wind gust to blow them over and the range is covered by hils and tress so there isnt high winds getting through. besides the wind would have to come from either the direct front or the direct back to catch the board

    and buy a fucking avatar. i think you're the only person in this forum that doesnt have one
