I don't really pay attention to the protein/carb/fat split of my diet and just make sure that I meet my calorie goals each day, but I've never bothered to count vegetables (I count fruit because of the sugar in them) because they're so low calorie I've never really figured that it's that important.

However, I'm not seeing the gains I'd hope for and I'm thinking of paying a bit more attention to the way my food is split - I think I'm taking on far too many carbs, and not nearly enough protein.

What I wanted to know is whether or not counting my veg will throw me out massively (obviously it'll have some impact) - if it's going to make a huge difference, then I'll start counting it but I'd rather not get into weighing it all out if possible.

    TIA.
