    im going to pick something up like that.but it wont be mounted to the rifle.ive already got a program on my ipod touch.but i dont think it will handle the abuse too well

    i saw that on engadget today. the mount and program are for specific Knights Armament guns and sierra bullets. pretty cool idea tho i think.

    This jogs my memory. At the shot show they had this scope with built in laser range finder and balistic software. It reads the distance and then tells you what to click in for your dope. Thing was freaking huge.

    I bet one day this stuff will be the size of a aimpoint micro.

    perfect example of a solution to a non existent problem and actually creating a new problem.

    While it's cool to have your ranging on a little screen, it's just another complicated piece of equipment that will fail when you most need it.

    Still nothing better than having a card taped to the stock.

    Talking about the mount. Software is on teh internets and everything on teh internets is free.

    yeah that's it.

    It was either zeiss or meotpta that had a simpler scope with a laser range finder. That one was way off it read the back wall as 100 yards and the wall was closer to 150. My buddy argued it but we ended up using a mildot scope on people standing near the wall and it was way farther than 100 yards.
