Macbook won't boot in Macintosh

    So how about this, my friend's macbook will boot via boot camp but won't boot into macintosh. When you try and load into macintosh, it just gives a blank screen and the cursor (which you can move). However he could boot into boot camp.

    Also, he used a firewire cable and a Powermac and did a fresh install of OS X, and that worked, however now the actual OS X won't boot..

    Did this happen straight after installing windows? Ive had the bootcamp installer corrupt partitions and it gave me the same screen.

    nope, it was after that. I think he dropped it or something
