so i just put parallels and XP on my Macbook, and it is running really slow and crashing often. I only have 512 ram (hopefully will have a gig after Christmas) could this be the problem? i may just reinstall parallels and xp and see how that goes. i may resort to using bootcamp if it is the only way i can run XP fast and stable.

Is anybody else running parallels/XP on a 2ghz 512 ram Macbook? how is it running for you? Any suggestions on how i can get it running quicker, and not crash all the time?

The RAM is the problem. You can barely run OS X on 512 megs of RAM, let alone OS X and XP.

2GB is better, but 1GB would do.
