I can't seem to find any cables to connect my macbook pro to my HDTV. I have the DVI-I port on the side and I'm looking to connect via HDMI port on the TV. Anyone have any good sources?

If it's a new mbp it's not a mini dvi it's a different adapter. Just a heads up before you spend the money.

My question for those that do connect to an HDTV, how do I watch a movie on the HDTV and still browse on my MBP?

The HDTV shows up as another monitor, so just play your movie full screen on it and you should still be able to use your laptop screen for other stuff. At least that's the way it works with my Mac Pro and regular screen.

Use VLC and set the Full screen to be the 2nd monitor after you have it plugged in. You'll see your monitor's resolution and then the HDTV's resolution in the drop down menubar at the top, choose the HDTV's

use a stereo miniplug to RCA Left & Right (y-cable) out to go to your stereo system
