is 60 degrees Celsius normal? I've been using all day, but only mundane stuff, like Word and Camino.

Guys, mbs and mbps run hot. How many topics on heat is this now? Apple uses its casing as a heatsink. It's OK!!!!

sorry but I kinda doubt that. 30 C at full load wouldn't even need a heatsink... I mean fuck ambient temperature in most summer climates exceeds 30 degrees C (aka 86 F)

55 to 60 resting. Gets up to 75-80 when doing work. Only thing I hate about it is the bottom gets hot.

PPC or Intel iMac? some of the iStat temperature plugins for earlier macs were notoroiusly innacurate.

that was my 2.33 C2D iMac

    here's a screenshot of a 2.33 C2D MBP i'm using right now...

i'm guessing the "enclosure bottom" in this case is about the same thing as the ambient temp... CPU usage was at about 10% at the time
