I just got my new MacBook Pro for Christmas (actually, my 2nd one, but the first one always locked up for some reason) and the keyboard is not as perfect as I thought it was.

    1. the function keys at the end are the same height as the keys under it (esc is the same height as ~ and eject is the same height as delete), but the function keys increase in height as it goes to the center. F11 is the tallest key, with F12 right behind it.

    2. some keys are really close to each other (4 and 5 are VERY close, 3 and 4 are far away)

    3. the spacebar is higher than the row of keys on top of it

these are pretty minor complaints, but is every macbook pro like this? I'm not sure if I'm able to exchange this for one with perfect keys, especially since I already exchanged one before.

yeah.. just a quick glance will show evenly spaced keys, but looking closer the keyboard is all out of wack

the 'W' key is also a lot rougher than the other keys.. I might pop it off and try to put it back on, and then try to exchange it for another one if it doesn't pop back
