So...my MBP has been having problems(freezing) for a while now and I finally backed everything up and reloaded OSX. After the fresh install, I didn't install any programs and the damn thing was still freezing. Took it to a local repair shop and they said the logic board is shot and it will cost me $900 to fix it. I called Apple to see if I could muster some sympathy and maybe get a discounted repair or have them admit the board on the originals is shit and fix it for free. No such luck of course...

Does anyone have a cheaper place I can get this repaired that is reliable or a good idea on what I can do to avoid paying a grand to fix the fucking thing? :x:

I had the same thing happen to me. Fortunately for me mine had already gone bad once under warranty, so when the second one went bad "out of warranty" I was able to convince them into replacing it again.

Call back and explain how you are a loyal customer (that's what I did) and I reeled off all the apple shit I own (which is a lot), and I told them I couldn't believe that they weren't willing to help out a loyal customer. She then talked to her manager and came back and said they would do it free of charge :run:
