I just got a 40 inch LCD HDTV and have successfully hooked up it; however, I want to output only to the TV. Going through the display preferences, it would only allow me to extend my desktop or mirror it. It worked perfectly when I booted Windows up, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it in OSX. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?

just make the TV the primary display by dragging the little white bar over in the "arragement" section of display preferences to the bigger TV.

thats how mine's set up on my external monitor.
