macbook + monitor crew

    what cable do I need to hook up a monitor to my macbook for the best picture quality to use for some dual monitor business.

    mini-dvi to dvi or vga adapter depending on your monitor

    so get a mini dvi -> dvi?

    i use a mini-dvi to vga on my lcd just because i got it for free. it looks fine.

    that sounds good to me, I mean, whatever looks fine. I am not looking to spend a lot of money, either

    well the cable is probably the same price. what do you want to hook it up to?

    well if it has dvi input i'd go with that. you're gonna need a dvi cable plus the mini dvi->dvi adapter. same if you go the vga route, mini dvi->vga plus a vga cable.

    both adapters are about $20, $17 with a student discount :o
