Hopefully someone can help. The story is that recently whenever I type the cursor will randomly jump to previous places which makes it very difficult to type. I am running leopard and have the 1.1 software update done. Has anyone seen this or had experience with it? I don't know if it is a software or hardware problem. I took it to apple but they want to send it in and I can't right now as I need it for writing reports. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I own a macbook and that has never happened to be before. are you sure it's not your hand touching the trackpad when you're typing?

i had this happen at first on my sisters ibook and then my macbook. i thought i was hitting a keyboard shortcut that jumped forward in the text.. but it ended up i was just hitting the trackpad by accident.

you can also turn off the tap-to-click feature in the trackpad settings.
