no different than any of the pics online.

    1.83ghz, 512 ram, 7200 rpm 100GB hd.

i dont have any experience with powerbooks, just ibooks...but what i can say is i think

    ...it's very fast
    ...good sound
...VERY bright screen when turned up
...thin aluminum case has a nice feel

nothing much else yet, as i haven't played with it much. we'll see how it goes :)

id imagine cooler than powerbooks, the one thing intel does best is laptop processors

my coworker got his mbp faster than me, and he says its actually hotter than his old 12" pb g4... and if youve ever had one of those, you knwo they get mighty warm.

since apple put the CPU upside-down in the case, the hot part of it is facing down onto your lap... i expect these things to be mighty warm, even with the best processesors intel can offer..

my update after 2 days of playing with it is that it gets pretty damn hot on the bottom. i'm not sure whether its just when its plugged in or not, or whether it depends on how much crap i'm running...gotta play with it a bit more.

it's super fast but does get bogged down when lots of things are running. looks like a RAM issue, i only have 512. i'm planning on getting another 512 and seeing how much it speeds up
