    Macbook Superdrive Problems

I have a 1st gen Macbook I got about a yr ago and its been a great machine. Recently though the drive has been acting up. It will no longer burn divx movies on CD-R's using Toast. Also the other day I tried installing UT 2004 in bootcamp and it wouldn't recognize the disc. It would just spin in the drive and then spit it out a minute later. The disc looks perfect, no scratches what so ever. Will Apple warranty this or am I gonna have to get my pocketbook ready?

You cant just buy apple care when your warraty expires...im guessing you DONT have applecare, since if you did you would know.

bringing it to Apple store to fix it will cost you ~450....i know because ive done it, but mine was under warranty so they waive it.

Get the drive on ebay and do it yourself.
