I already got a legit office 2008 for $10 thru my employer's agreement with microsoft. :wiggle: but now I'm wondering if iWork isn't better, which I hear it is.

But I would also like to mess around with photoshop/flash, purely as a personal experiment.

    but I get no love?

Apple offers a free 30-day trial of iWork on their website.

so you want to work with photoshop/flash, but dropping $80 is too much money.....

download some trials and see if you like them first....

Thank you. That was constructive and helpful. I have used the trial, and so-far I like it. Numbers is especially nice. Now I don't feel so bad about dropping the ~$65-70 on iWork.

If I like the site, I will. So far my reception has been less than positive.

    I'm not sure, yet.

I did download the iWork trial, at the recommendation of the previous user. I do like it. As for photoshop/flash, I already know that I like them. But I use them for personal tasks, not commercial, and I cannot afford the $$$$ cost of them. They are considerably more costly than iWork. I was curious if there were any good sites for getting mac software. I'm new to the whole mac world. Just got my MacBook Pro! And I know there was a wealth of resources for free software for PCs, so I was hoping the same was true for macs. :wavey:
