Is this saying that the most I can install per slot is 1gb and that the mobo would not recognize a 2gb stick?

I know this is really not the place for this, but you guys have always been a big help in the past.

Not sure yet. I'm really wanting a gaming computer at the moment.... What I don't get is that it says I can have up to 8GB, but there are only 4 possible dim slots to occupy.

post up your machine specs and then check what it can hold. this looks like a motherboard spec sheets so unless you know what MB you're using, im not sure how helpful this is going to be.

It's got 4 slots, and can support 8GB of memory. So you can use 2GB sticks.
