Hi, I'm a hobbyist programmer wanting to learn more about mac osx.. My favorate language is Python although I can program many other languages including C.

Anyone want to let me borrow their mac via VNC or some sort of remote desktop software for a hour or two?

I have much experience with Linux and Windows but I rarely get access to a mac for trying out some programs and software.

Its purely for learning and nothing bad or evil!

Perhaps this mac user can teach me about macs too if they have mac development experience. If the user has Xcode installed, that would be helpful.

    Thanks!

ROFLMAO I hope you meant that as a joke. I'm sure plenty of us here could help you if you run into a snag doing OS X programming and have a question, but I doubt any of us would just turn over our machines to you...

VNC over the internet would be way too slow to get anything done at all.

VNC on a 256Kbit or so connection isn't too bad for me as long as use a decent client :) I don't think mac has any other technologies like it.

You guys are so mean and very unhelpful... Can't you say something useful? Dont you want people to code for your platform?
Perhaps one of you could learn something too! ;)

Oh and none of the macs are exactly "Cheap".. I can almost get a couple of playstation 3's for the price of one of them.

Go buy yourself a couple playstation 3's. They need the support more than Apple.

It's really not that funny guys.

Poor dude just wants to learn some shit.

If I have a free mac at home I'd set it up for him. What could he possibly do with a fresh install and no access to other stuff?

I've used a credit card before but never an ATM card. Can I borrow your ATM card and pin number for a couple an hour or two? I't purely for learning and nothing bad or evil!
