So I own a iBook G4. It has 256mb of ram. It's running very slow. I cleared the cookies and caches that helped for about a minute then it was slow again. Please help.

Is it running slow in general, or when you're using Safari? Cause if it's running slow just when you use Safari, then I'm having the same problem :hs:

Sounds good to me. How much is another 256 mb of ram? How much to be installed?

It's easy to install it yourself, as long as your currently have 256MB in the bottom slot and nothing in the top slot. If you've got 128 and 128, it's going to be much easier if you just leave the 128 in the bottom, ditch the 128 in the top, and put in a 512 in the top slot, giving you 640MB total.

Installation can easily be done by yourself on the top slot. A 256MB chip is about $40 and a 512MB is about $90. Go to www.ramseeker.com or www.dealram.com for the best memory prices.
