I've been using Mail under Panther via POP. Basically just use it to keep a carbon copy of mail that I have on my school account, and to check .Mac mail. I've never trusted Mail's implementation of IMAP, but I'd like to start using it. So... thoughts on the new release? is it finally worthy?

    go go go

mail 2.0 is perfect to me. very simple, very straightforward, and not too bloated.

I think its great, I just came over from Panther and I had Thunderbird running on it. Mail for Tiger is very simple, I like it. Only thing I have against it is the new mail sound sometimes isn't loud enough, but new mail shows on the icon anyways. So its not that bad.

 one of my main problems with the last release is that it's unable to set up "roles". I work at a couple different places that require that I send e-mails with different From: addresses -- last time I tried to fake that in Mail, I deleted three years' worth of e-mail  :rl:

I wanna know if that's possible now :x:

The new mail is a lot better then the Panther one. I'm incredibly impressed how it handles my 13k message inbox without slowing down. Also, HTML rendering is much quicker and smoother. And the scaling of photos from within the compose window is very handy.
