i've been working on importing all my cd's into itunes and sometime when i put a cd in it work read right.
i put it in it shows up as a audio cd on the desktop itunes queries the cddb database, then the audio cd icon disappears but it doesn't come up asking me to confirm the cddb data or anything. then i cant eject it cuz it acts like its not there. its only done this a couple times but both times i restarted the computer and then it showed up on the desktop with the right cd name and tracks and everything.

any better way to deal with this happening?

The CD you're using might be too scratched up. :dunno:

i thought of that but the funny thing is it shows up there and then disappears. then once i restart the computer its there again. i just want a better way to make it recheck the cd drive without having to close all my apps and restart the computer.
