mac mini memory

    the mini isn't the easiest thing to install memory in. You'd be better off just getting it installed from apple.

    yeah you gotta cut the seal on it and shit with a putty knife or exacto. its a pain in the arse.

    I'd rather do that and save $200 than get reamed in the buttox

    I have a mini and its simple to change the memory. Just grab the thinnest putty knife at home depot or wherever...then you slide it between the metal side and the plastic bottom. Pull back and it will pop...then do that for each side. Then pull the top of the case off, and the memory is right there on the left side.

    The mini uses standard desktop ddr. Mine came with 400mhz ddr, but since the bus speed on the G4 is alot slower than that, I went with ddr 333mhz memory. I have 512mb in and it runs fine.

    :hsugh: No cutting required. Just do what the dude above me said.

    It's easier w/ two putty knives, imo. The mini is very happy with 1GB
