for the first time, i have 2 macs, and i'm trying to do some file sharing between them.

on the host mac, i go into sharing prefs, enabled sharing on just the Public folder, added my username from the guest computer and set read/write privileges.

when i log in from the guest computer (w/ username and password) and try to write a file to the shared folder, i get an error that i don't have sufficient privileges.

i've repaired permissions, that didn't work.

anything else i need to check?

Get info on the folder and make sure your guest username has write access.
