How can I transfer all my music to the IMac from my macbook, i have a network but it's just a apple express router?

I have a late 2007 model macbook with 2x2gb of ddr2 memory it reads 4 but only 3gb is allocated, can i put the 4 gb in the imac and run the 1gb stick and 1 of the 512 sticks in the macbook until i can upgrade it again....

so it would be IMAC 2x2gb and macbook 1x1gb and 1x512mb, would that be ok for a bit?

look up target disc mode, from what i understand it uses your imac as the computer and the macbook as an external harddrive and you can transfer all your music and itunes library to your macbook.

that ram config should be fine, but to get the advantages of dual channel you'll need 2 of the same size.

You're ballin' out of control. I'm sure APPL shareholders are very happy.

    :fawk:

In the span of 22 months, I've bought:

    Macbook Pro
    Mac Pro
    Mac Mini
    Apple Hi-Fi
    AppleTV
    Extreme router and Express Base

Before that I only had an iPod Nano.

1gb of memory? Welcome to 1998 have fun doing anything with that

This is cheaper and an shitload better, and even this is kind of a dumb PC build I could build a better one for the same price but I'm lazy and its late.

a gig of ram on a Mac would surprise if you'd ever put your PC loving hands on one. Stop being lazy and get your ass out of The Mac Shack.

Memory is memory buddy. I am an embedded systems software engineer I know a thing or two about computer architecture.

Also building your own PC that is better for cheaper is hardly "being lazy"... No, I would call that spending more on a worse pre-built computer
