I went into a gun shop today to look at some prices. I had sort of been looking for a Mosin M38, or a 91/30. They had some M44 Mosins, but I wasn't interested (as I already have one). Well, I noticed that there were some longer guns on the other side of the rack. Sure enough, they had a few 91/30s. I picked up a 1939 Tula in awesome condition. The bolt is nice an tight, the blueing is good, except for a few spots where it was redone. The bore looks good, as does the chamber.

    Pics will come soon enough.

The Chezch silver tip ammo I bought is attracted to a magnet. I only bought 20 rounds though.

It was $130. Not sure if that was a fantastic price or not, but the condition it is in made it worth it (to me at least). I hope there are some soldered boxes at the next show I go to.
