you gotta find something that will strip DRM. theres a program out called hymn or something that is supposed to strip it, but ive had no success with it.

you can burn the song as many times as you want to a CD. how will the DRM be transfered to it?

it just does man i dunno how it works. i have several songs purchased from the store and it just re-rips them back into .m4p with drm even if you have another format selected.

truth be told, i made a thread about doing this a few months ago, but it got deleted because this was considered piracy. no big deal though.

The only way iTunes would know that a CD is actually a downloaded song from iTunes would be if music downloaded from iTunes music store had some kind of inaudiable watermark in the song itself. I've not heard of Apple doing this yet, but if they ARE, then one way around it would be to rip using something other than iTunes, something that doesn't look for the watermark.

which is precisely what it does according to the comment that i circled says. it's analagous to trying to plug a foreign ipod into your machine. it wont let you have whats on it unless you have a 3rd party program to pull songs off the ipod.
