a guy i work with wants to sell me his m44 for 80 bones. is that a good deal :dunno: seems like it to me. one other question, how should i do the transaction?

i'm fairly sure he hasn't held up a gas station with it. i mean i know him, but i don't really know him, just from our dealings at work he seems like a regular guy. how should i do the transfer. i'm sure its registered in his name, how can i get it in mine? can my gun shop handle this cheaply?

    80 bucks isn't bad if it's a clean one.

I would just get a bill of sale from him with his signature on it and call it a done deal.

just a piece of paper with the serial and the amount plus signatures?

and yes its clean, he has already addressed the finish, and overall general cleaning. it looks like the ones you see at gander mountain, only a whole hell of a lot cleaner

You can but it's not necessary. I like to have one just for my records but you have no legal obligation to fill one out.
