    I cleaned it up real good today, and oiled it up with some hoppes elite gun oil. the slide is alot more smooth, but the slide release is still hard as hell to operate.

    That's not a bad thing. You can fit it a little more if you know how to, if not it'll wear its self in over time. It is better to be tight there than loose.

    i know theyre great guns, been around forever blah blah... but i just dont care for the styling really. i prefer the more sleek and "tactical" looking pistols. like my P99. designs like that. i dont not like the 1911 because of its reliabilty or anything like that, just the look of it :dunno:
     
  18. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I've always considered 1911s to be the best looking pistols ever conceived.

    It's only $300. Besides, I don't shoot my Colt anymore. It's a safe queen now.

    that a decent price but I heard there are some quality issues with the RIA's.
