Shot .32 S&W long wadcutters out of it, thought they'd be cheaper than 7.62 Nagant. Nope. $11 and change for a box :hs:

Taped them off because the cases swell (and they did) - next time I would use more tape because I could sometimes feel gas blowback.

After I took it apart and cleaned the (remaining) cosmo out and oiled it the action was 10 times better than when I got. Seriously, if you buy a milsurp firearm try cleaning the damn thing for once.

Target was from 30 feet SA and 15 or 20 feet DA.

It's high and to the right. Gotta bang on the site some. Should be simple since it's a dovetail.

    :wavey:

Edit: the blowback I was feeling is apparently normal. The 7.62 Nagant round is longer and would thus "seal" the gases in when chambered and fired. The .32 S&W long is shorter, so some gas escapes out the front of the cylinder.

    The more you know (tm).

I'd like to buy one some day but I'm going to wait and try to get one in person, $30 to ship such a cheap gun is rough

Bulgarian Heavy Ball is still only $43...I feel weird saying 'only $43.' That's a lot for 7.62x54

    No shit.

If I was in Russia it would probably be the same price as bags of dirt.

Wow, that's a cool little wheel gun. It's entirely possible that I could get bit with the C&R bug. What song and dance did you pay for that little trinket again?

I paid maybe $100 shipped  That inclues pistol, holster, cleaning rod, sight tool, and some other little doodad. These are a GREAT deal.

The thing is built to LAST but is not heavy. It's quite balanced. It's just that the 7.62 Nagant ammo is expensive and .32 long is not exactly cheap either. I looked into the .32ACP cylinder but .32 ACP is not much cheaper.

It is MUCH better now that I cleaned it and oiled it. Almost every milsurp firearm I have bought that has supposedly been "cleaned" still has cosmo in the moving parts. After I got rid of that and soaked everything that moves in oil it is MUCH better - like 50% less pull. Certainly not butter but not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
