Pride Shogun would give Machida a run for his money.

I think UFC Shogun will get outpointed all 3 rounds though :(

God dammit, all I want is a nice convincing win for Shogun. Bad match up for him in an octagon.

Curious to see what the odds are going to be on this one.

I'm still gonna pick Machida. Shogun is a really aggressive fighter, Machida can effectively counter-strike and avoid takedowns and the clinch unless he wants to be there. I still Shogun has a huge chance if he can regain his gas tank and return to the form that we all love.

    I'm happy

It seems everyone always thinks, that anyone versus Machida = Bad matchup for Machida's opponent. I think people just like throwing out "Bad matchup", every time someone is fighting Machida.

Shogun either hangs them up after a devastating loss, or he comes back and destroys Machidas mystique to gain entry into the stacked list of title contenders at 205

No, Shogun gets wild and hectic when he starts throwing and likes to pressure, in an octagon Machida will be able to dance away. hence why i said in an octagon and not a ring.
There are people who match up bad for machida. Oddly enough, I think Jardine would pose some problems for him. Chuck 2 years ago would have, but Shogun only offers him limited problems.

Shogun via TKO in the 1st. :eek3:

    flawless victory.

I like Machida but if Shogun can pull this off then he will have gained his street cred back.

I would love this fight, but it's at the wrong time. Machida deserves his shot at the belt, and Shogun needs to get back from injury and acclimated to the cage. But Shogun doesn't want to settle for anything but the top guys.
