Rumor is that they are going to be cutting down the UFC roster over the next few weeks.

    Interview added 4/28

Looks like the Sherdogger's also know how to write letters.

I would love to see the look on someone's face when they get a letter back from Lutter asking "What have you done with your pathetic life?" :bowrofl:

man that's too bad. Lutter is really talented as hell, he just needs to get with a standup and conditioning coach.. also need to stop fucking up his opportunities.

If he had all of the above straightened out he would have had a GREAT chance to beat Anderson and Rich

strange to cut from the middleweights though...
they dont exactly have a stable of fighters at that weight that are better than lutter...

Middleweight is definately NOT the division anyone should be getting cut from. Fighters done with the UFC, bigger better oppurtunities elsewhere? Who knows. A conditioned Lutter is, IMO, a top 5 middleweight.

    new MW division:

Anderson Silva, Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, Nate Marquardt, Michael Bisping and Yushin Okami

After all the cuts are done, all fights must be made with those six fighters

bring in lindland, but then again, 1 fighter isn't gonna change the lack of talent in the mw division

I can't get my mind around what the UFC strategy is here. I mean the MW division was great before Silva, now he is dominant and they are reducing the worthy fighters for him to go up against?

I am looking forward to the inevitable Bisping v. Silva fight that I am assuming we'll see by the end of the year or early 2009. In the mean time i'm not sure what they plan on doing to keep interest in the 85 weight class.

Maybe they are just banking on the amazing 55, 70 and HW????

They are talking about bringing in some WEC fighters. If they bring in some of the middleweights this move makes more sense.

He had potential if he just worked on his cardio. They threw him in the mix with the two best middleweights.

I think they are gonna start using the pride strategy for the mw division. LW division and ww division is pretty much stacked and they have lots of good talent so they can pretty much keep things running and always have good fights. Same goes for LHW but middle weight and heavy weight are the two devisions that are lacking.

I guess what they are doing is the pride booking strategy. They have the fighters that they need in those divisions. Hendo, anderson silva, marqudt, franklin and okami. They have some gate keepers like leben , bisping and grove. So they will be cutting every one else and feeding their name brand guys cans when ever they need to fill a card and have each of them in line to fight anderson.

The only reason they have all the guys in lw and ww under contract imo is to keep other organizations from using them. With me theres only those guys who are worth it every one else can go to hell. Especially terry martin lol.

As far as the lutter cut I have to agree. He just wasnt doing what he needed to do and he keeps failing and he only has himself to blame. Keeps making the same mistakes. He has the talent to do something in the devision but never backs it up with conditioning. Going in over weight and exteme weight cuts made him lose his chance at the title. Crappy conditioning made him lose to franklin and he should have known better concidering franklins a cardio machine
