lunges can go fuck themselves

    I tried lunges for the first time a few weeks ago and I pulled a groin muscle on the right side of my body. It healed up after a week or so. I decided I was going to bang them out again today, so I had a nice stretching session and then went at it and what the fuck happens again?? I pulled a groin muscle on the left side of my body. What the fuck is the deal here??

    Its probably just severe soreness in the groin. Happens to me every time I start doing lunges after a while of not doing them. I can barely walk and I did legs on monday.

    i like lunges but i can never do them right... at least with DBs's at my side... I should probably do thew with a BB

    i hate lunges but only for the fact that i feel so miserable doing them at the end of each legday

    do u guys do moving lunges ?(where u are lunging from one side of the gym to another side)??

    no, but there was this chick with the best body i'd ever seen and she would do it back and forth in front of where all the guys were lifting. obvious attention whore, but it got my attention.

    I hate them too, but It looks priceless when you do them all the way acorss the gym and then dump the bar at the end (rubber plates) as you are slimultaneously panting and checking if your legs are still there.

    I always thought the people looked like douche's doin them across the whole gym.

    I was doing them in place and I wouldn't mind doin them if my dick area didn't suffer afterwards. :mad:

    My legs get the shakes real bad after lunges. It sucks even worse when you're driving home in a stick shift and you can't push the clutch down without your leg wobbling.

    A couple months ago I did them for the first time in awhile and on my last set I was so exhausted that I came near the top of my last rep and couldn't finish it and almost sat down indian style. I looked like a ballerina trying to stand up with it. Ridiculous.

    lunges do fucking suck. i feel like you need to be in awesome cardiovascular shape to get all your reps.

    Ok I know people say exrx is not the best place to base your lifts on, but if this is how are you are supposed to do lunges then I think I was extending my front leg out too far. Both times I did whatever I did I noticed the pain start on the way back up.

    get some glutamine, that'll help ya see if its simply sore muscles (rather than pulled).. and stretch more.

    I don't do lunges any more. Left leg forward is fine, but right leg forward my knee screams at me, so I just dropped it.

    In on the hating lunges crew. I only do them every few weeks because I am a pussy. They sure work though.

    I do them in place. I am not too sure about the people that walk around and do them. They always seem to get in the way. :o

    i can't do lunges too well after squats because my quads feel like they're gonna burst... not to mention my hammys are exhausted

    I think you're supposed to step far forward so that when you're down your knee is still behind your toe. exrx guy might not be stepping far enough
