In the hallowed tradition of SS-badged Chevrolets such as the Chevelle, Camaro, and awesome 1990-93 454 SS Sport Truck, the Colorado SS show vehicle sets a new benchmark for road-going performance. The Colorado SS launches with 400 horsepower from the 2005 Corvette’s LS2 and then benefits from a complete package of high-performance features.

    VEHICLE HIGHLIGHTS:

LS2 6.0L V-8 with 400 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. torque that exhales through a custom-built performance exhaust from the catalyst rearward.

Heavy-duty 4L70-E four-speed automatic transmission with floor shifter.

Heavy-duty 9.5-inch rear axle with a locking differential for added traction and a short 3.73:1 rear axle ratio for rapid acceleration.

Front disc brakes measuring over 12 inches that are sourced from the full-size Chevrolet Silverado; rear disc brakes from the Chevrolet TrailBlazer.

Lowered suspension riding on brushed nickel-plated 20-inch SS rims.

Stylized interior with unique trim, bezels, and seats.

Custom exterior package with unique grille, fascias, flares, rocker extensions and tonneau cover.

That's pretty fucking cool. Even cooler because it's in the tiny ass Colorado and not the Silverado. I bet that things pretty quick :eek4: If they make it :mamoru:

I already said the roush f-150 with the extended cab was gay too. Crew cab > extended. And I'd never want a "performance-oriented" truck with anything but a regular cab. No matter what the brand.

    GM will never make it.

My S10 SS was about as cool as GM will let a minitruck get anymore.

probably the retarded fullsize they built...

they're throwing around the SS badge way too liberally....

Although this truck sounds like it might actually compete, as compared to it's predicessors (sp)......

maybe this will push SVT back into the production of the L in the next couple of years..

    oh yeah, screw the SRT-10......
Buy a $30K L, throw on a pulley, exhaust, and a good tune and run with the SRT-10 for $15,000 less....and still be able to tow the car home afterwards.

if GM made a regular cab version, and sold it for less than a mustang GT, I'd buy it. You can quote me.

well if the engine bay's too small for the I-6 then I guess something 4 cylinders long will have to do :big grin:

I hope it makes production :x: :wackit:
