ls1 krew, how is this cam

    here's what the card says, everything is intake/exhaust

    gross valve lift .567/.571
    duration at .050 224/228
    lobe separation 112

    timing at .050 open 4/50 close 40/2


    sounds mild to me..but it's cheap and the engine is still out of the car so I might as well put something in.

    I don't need but about 400hp or so :dunno:

    they say because the chassis is so light you can go big on the fd's but I don't now didly dick about cams

    Looks like the same spec cam Tony @ AFR was using. He made some sweet numbers with that cam and a set of heads.

    btw, I have the FM13 (230/232 .595/.585) on a 112 and it has great street manners.

    dont think youll it 400 with that cam alone, most likely 380ish. if thats your goal aim for lift over .530. but streetability wont be what it was with the smaller cam.

    I think it'll be just about right, er hope :o

    I'll run the stock 2k heads, a pulley, and long tubes, that's about it.

    thats pretty mild duration, but my only experience with smallblocks are gen 1. LS1s have the luxury of roller lifters which allow a more aggressive lobe, so it might be a little more aggressive than it seems, but still awfully docile.
