which is why they are collectors edition wheels and not grandsports. they don't look like the right offset to be ZR-1

  11. its not, its just a zr1 style wheel, it was an slp option on the late 4th gens. Its just easier to say zr1 wheels

and to the rattle can and 80 grit sandpaper comment, I think thats just dirt, mine looks the same way after driving in the rain for 20 minutes

General question for LS1 crew (since I'm to lazy to start a new thread), how much can I get an engine and manual tranny for? And what is the price difference for a new vs. pulled engine? thanks.

depending on the year and mileage I would think you could get a complete pull out for around 4K thats a tranny, engine and ECU along with most/all of the wiring harness

fuuuuuuuuuuck. Guess I'll be getting an RB install first then, since I can get a complete -26DETT setup installed with everything needed for that much.

I really want a LSx powered Z though :wtc:

    I don't remember that style in 18"?

My buddy just bought the 11" ZR1 style to that wheel. I had the 9.5" and let me tell you that they looked great, but the 11" stood out too much from the wheel well.

There was actually a 16" version of that ZR1/SS wheel for the early 4th gen SS convertibles. Looked really dorky when you saw it in person and you noticed that something just wasn't right until you realized it was a 16".

I think TomzWheels or somewhere like that was selling some 18" ZR1-style wheels... they were aftermarket clones but looked good

my only gripe with the ZR1 style wheels on f-bodies is that they dont look right on the LS1 body cars... they looked just fine on the '96 and '97 SS Camaros, but there's something about the LS1 body style that makes them look too small for the car... the 10spoke SS wheels, IMO, look alot better.

I prefer C5 Z06 wheels to the LS1 SS 10-spokes, but I disagree about the ZR1s looking out-of-place on LS1s--I've always liked those wheels. Especially since you can get 17x11 on the rears
