    Hi:

I am a n00b, and just began weightlifting recently..pardon my ignorance if this answer is already posted somewhere in this forum..I tried looking through threads, but couldnt find it..

I noticed when bench pressing, that I got some sharp lower back pain.. once I lowered the pounds the pain went away..

Do you know what causes this? Too much weight, bad posture, something else, etc?

    Thanks for your help..

    Hi..

Yeah I think when the weight is too heavy, I am raising my @$$ (and probably feet) to help with the lifting.. that may be the problem..

    thanks guys! :)
