I eat a fair amount of boneless/skinless chicken breasts and used to use a lot of packaged marinades for flavor. I just recently noticed that the seasonings I've been using have a very high amount of sodium so I'm looking for some healthier alternatives. Any suggestions?

    bottled marinade?

Bro, if you dont have hypertension, theres no harm in taking in a bit of extra salt.

Is there a legit reason you want low sodium or do you just believe it's better for you?

Personally I have to ADD salt to every single meal I eat to avoid cramping.

I just feel like my diet includes too much sodium. For one I eat a fair amount of beef jerky, and then these marinades I've been using are over 1000mg per package.

I don't believe I have Hypertension but high blood pressure does run in my family so I am just being cautious.

this. grow an herb garden if you can. otherwise, get fresh herbs from the grocery store (prepare to be raped on price)
learn how to combine flavors, and make women wet with a chicken breast

If you dont have issues, dont worry about it. There's nothing wrong with sodium. It's essential.

I have high blood pressure as well (better these days, but still above average), and I've found my salt intake has ZERO impact on my blood pressure. Stimulants on the other hand have a huge impact.
