My company is too cheap to buy me a pda phone... I have a Samsung SCH-a650 for my company cell phone... But I want e-mail PDA of sorts... Is there a phone that will do Lotus Notes e-mail without breaking the bank? Or a PDA that does Lotus Notes Replications?

BTW.. Don't wanna spend the money on the treo650...

if you're not willing to spend money, you should be happy with what you have.

whats the best place to find a deal on a treo? Are the ebay ones safe to buy? Is a treo600 good enough? or only a treo 650? What about a verizonized treo? Is that as good?

No to the verizonized treos, VZW is starting to lock them out from its system.

Ebay is safe as long as you buy from a reputable seller. Treo 600 vs 650: depends on what features you need/want. But the screen res on the 600 is almost abyssmal.

so the 600 has crap resolution... then i'll go 650... My main uses:

    Email
    contacts
    calendar (Gotta get more organized)
    speakerphone
    camera
    SMS

I think thats it... I actually DONT think i want a bluetooth headset... just because i dont want to look like all of these FAGS that walk around with bluetooth headsets like "i'm cool! I got bluetooth y0!"

Well, if you really think that BT headsets are for fags, then you either don't talk on your phone much while working on stuff, or you just need to grow up :hsugh: I don't use them much, but I'm not on the phone as much as I used to be either.

camera on the 650 is only vga, but its actually pretty damn good quality for vga. SMS is AWESOME due to the threaded "chat" forms (looks like an instant messaging program almost). Get chattermail for your email, versamail is the dumps. And volumecare is a must as well so you can increase the volume of both the earpiece and the speakerphone.

nope... no phone calls... I see it ALL THE TIME in airports... Hell... I even see people ON THE AIRPLANE turn their phones off, put them in the overhead bin, BUT KEEP THE HEADSET IN THEIR EAR!!! Its like... you just want to RIP IT OFF...

So I was reading about some rather sweet new phones coming out... One by Motorola, a REALLY SLICK Nokia (Similar to the one from the Bond flick a few years back), and some new Samsung stuff... I'm thinkin Treo 650 is the way to go... I'm gonna wait until right after the holidays I think...

    Any other suggestions?

Ok so he specifically stated he didn't want the 650. You replied "get a treo" I asked if you had communications issues. You retorted that you never specified WHICH treo. Now you show me a PDF of the 650 again. WTF? :ugh:

 he says that AFTER you start talking about included software, then scrapinSI states that he thinks 650 is the way to go, THEN you reply to ME about included software. I gotta say, you did try, but unfortunately, all was for naught
