I went to my cousins for dinner today, took these photos. I put a quarter cut lime in a glass of 7up and FIZZZ!

    don't like macro photography?

That's like asking LordV if he ever shoots with anything other than his MP-E 65

I think its just fun to mess around with it... its amazing the detail you can find in some of the smallest things...

And when its crappy outside or whatever, (for me its not quite spring yet, so its just brown and dull outside) its just a fun alternative..

I found these a little dark, like bubbles you think wow, awesome, freshness, life, energy, bright sunshiney days. you know. and with those dark black colors in the background really shake down the vibrant yellows/greens of the lemon

try the same thing with a white piece of paper behind the cup or something and some better lighting.

:nono: The lens is actually mounted on the camera backwards using a bit of specialized equipment.

Not really sure if i agree with this line of thought, but that's just being subjective.

And so is this: I was really expecting more interesting of a presentation. overall they seemed dull, though #4 was interesting seeing the play of the carbonation along the curve of the lemon. focus needs to be tighter on this particular shot... and watch out for fingerprints on the glass. :hs:

Pic of the rig you made to hold the lens?

    That looks sick.

Guys I appreciate constructive criticism but I can assure you I didn't take these photos to put in a magazine or something  IT was just a little fun.

I want to buy one, I really do. At the end of the day reversing your lens is cheap and inexpensive but a Macro lens is just something else, you're right when i earn some spare cash I do plan on buying it :) and thankyou so much for enjoying my reverse lens shots :)
    Ok.

#4 had potential, but it looks like the glass is more in focus than the fizz/lemon. The pattern on the glass is a bit distracting.

I think a solid background would have helped, like in number 2, the red of the wall/table is kind of distracting. Maybe a little bit more fizz too.

No aperture, it's not possible to use aperture with the lens reversed!

wat, you set it to F22, then hold the preview button, and release the lens.

    you're at F22.
