I've been playing it all week with my family. My dad used to play normal risk alot back in the day so the games are REALLY competitive. Just some FYI, the south is a lot easier to hold than the north. But if you got a lot in the north try and get the Shire. Have fun, I am sure you will!

My friend got it for Christmas :bigthumb:

Is there any other version's of this game besides LOTR Risk and the Trilogy Edition? I'm looking for something more like Axis and Allies where you could play as a specific area like Mordor, Gondor, Rohan, Rivendale or Isengard. If not they should make one :eek3:

I purchased the trivial pursuit LOTR edition. It's fun but the questions seem too easy (that or i've seen the movies too many times :dunno: )

I played it last night; one of my best friends has it... I barely beat him at the end using the dark forces of Mordor. It is A LOT of fun...

I beat my friend last night in 3 rounds...

I left him with only two batallions in The Shire (I used the forces of Mordor and Isengard).

I left him there because I wanted to fulfill my ultimate task... take over the ENTIRE board, which I did within an hour.

ok, so we ordered what we thought was the Trilogy Edition off Amazon, they sent us the regular. So I'm at Walmart today actually saw the Trilogy Edition and picked it up. I was reading through the instructions and came across something I was told differently about. When I played last night we played the regular edition and my friends gf said the ring moves after 1 set of turns (Like after all 4 of us went) the Trilogy Edition says after each players turn. That would only leave like 4 turns each, which is it? I like the other way it lets the game last longer.
