I'm not sure. But you could burn a copy of a friends xp pro, and just use your serial.

Yep. Just make sure its an OEM CD, not a retail full, upgrade, Volume License, etc. It'll work fine with your key. The only possible gotcha is that you might have to do a telephone activation instead of doing it online.

    o_O Alienware.:noes:

Is it fast? You should've built your own. You probably could have built the same or better rig for the amount you probably have spent... but at least you can brag about it... :)

There's something to be said about the quality of build that they put out.

Everything is tight on those machines.

Yeah, I build my own and save a bunch of money, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with Alienware.

At least not that Dell has fucked up yet since they bought them.

Haha. Yeah. I'm not saying that Alienware computers are bad, just saying that it's veeeeery over priced. I'd love to own one. :bigthumb:

Once you get the new OS installed with all the drivers and software setup the way you like it ghost it with Norton Ghost or True Image (My favorite) that way reformatting takes 10 minutes next time and you dont have to reinstall all your programs... I have a True Image back up that I reformat to every month or so... keeps everything fresh clean and fast :)

    not rly

win2k, for instance, is good for 1, 2, 4, etc, cpu - depending on what it says on the sticker/eula

and, that's cpu INSIDE the pc, not 2 seperate cpu in seperate pc
