    Somehow I deleted something and lost the ability to hit the show desktop button and have all the windows minimize. How can I get this back? Someone said just create a shortcut on the desktop and link it to that button....but when I do that it just opens a window with my desktop icons in it. Any ideas?

    browse to c:\documents and settings\<username>\application data\microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch. Create a text file and enter:
    Code:
    [Shell]
    Command=2
    IconFile=explorer.exe,3
    [Taskbar]
    Command=ToggleDesktop
    Then, rename it to Show Desktop.scf (make sure you have show file extensions turned on in explorer options.)

    win key + m minimizes all your windows
    win key + d will show your desktop So things like your calendar that runs in the background on your desktop also get minimized
