Lost some shine on my bumpers

    I have a red 1991 miata and the front and rear bumpers just dont shine as much...anybody have any reccomendations to help...ive already tried turtle wa color cure...didnt seem to do much:confused:

    Have you tried using a polish, such as Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #7? Polish takes off tiny layers of paint to expose the shinier surfaces beneath. As with any polish, be sure to wax after you apply it.

    Usually red Miatas were not clear coated, so if yours still has the original paint, it is probably going to fade a bit if you wait more than 3 months to wax.

    You might want to try Meguiars #9 Swirl Remover 2.0 and then follow with the #7. #9 has more cutting power and should remove any remaining oxidation quickly. The #7 will add oils to the paint to deepen the shine. Use a pure wax like Meguiars #26 to seal the paint.
